The contest The Best Innovative Project in the Fiend of Wooden Construction and awarding a specially established prize Driada are held in order to define perspective innovations in the fields of engineering and wooden construction technologies, to find out new ways of popularizing advanced woodworking goods in the construction market, to promote wooden construction, to enhance the quality of engineering and construction, to develop the mechanism of adopting state-of-the-art technologies in practical activity.

The official awarding ceremony of the contest The Best Innovative Project in the Fiend of Wooden Construction was held for the winners on October, 9th 2008 in LENEXPO FAIRGROUNDS.

The winner of the Driada-2008 Award in the nomination Best Innovation Project the Fiend of Wooden Construction has become HAUS-KONZEPT Commonwealth company for the development and manufacturing of the large-span glued-laminated timber constructions.

The company was the first one in the North-western Region who started producing pre-fabricated houses and is the leader of advanced woodworking industry and the only producer of large-span glued-laminated timber constructions in the North-Western Region.

The Second Prize was awarded to Technopark LTA ZAO for the innovative project Timber Thermal Processing with the help of Pulp and Paper Mill Sulphate Manufacturing By-product (tall oil).

Special Prize in the nomination A Special Contribution to the Development and Popularization of the Wood Construction Industry was awarded to Honka company – the world leading company in wood construction industry.

The Prigorod magazine, the official informational partner of the contest, which actively covers current concerns of the wooden construction market was also awarded the diploma a Special Contribution to the Development and Popularization of the Wood Construction Industry.
