RESULTS 2007
The Specialized Exhibition of Transport Construction and Infrastructure
TransCon was held with the support of the International Transport Academy
and representatives of Ministry for Transport of the Russian Federation
at the EXPOCENTER Fairgrounds in Moscow from 27th to 29th of November,
2007.
The TransCon Exhibition showcased achievements in the fields of engineering,
design and construction of roads, bridges and ports, research and development
survey, software and other related spheres. The Exhibition was organized
by one of the leading Russian Exhibition Organisers – RESTEC
Exhibition Company.
Transport and construction branch is one of the main life support systems
of the country. Transport sector operation, economic activity growth and
population's quality of life of depend on successful development of this
branch. The TransCon Exhibition helped to assess the industry's activity
and its potential for today. The Exhibition profile consisted of three
main sectors: Ports and terminals, Airports and Roads, bridges and over
bridges. Participating companies, such as VTM DORPROEKT OOO, HEMPEL Company,
MORSTROY ZAO Group of Companies, CENTRSTROYCOMPLECT Engineering Company
and others demonstrated advanced machinery and technologies, building
materials and equipment designed to improve the industry performance at
the 2 000 square km venue.
TRANSPORT CONGRESS 2007 was held within the framework of the TransCon
Exhibition. The Congress with participation of Ministry for Transport
of the Russian Federation, the Government of Moscow, International Transport
Academy, Russian Tunneling Association, scientists, specialists of the
Federal Administration Agencies, leading branch enterprises gave an opportunity
to discuss a wide range of issues, to define objectives of complex and
planned development of the transport system as well as to increase its
investment attractiveness. The program of conferences and round table
meetings held within the framework of the Congress was devoted to the
progressive development of Russian transport sector, including issues
like transport sector development under the conditions of Russia's integration
into the world community, transport industry financing and investments
and certain issues of roads and ports construction.
