The 12th international specialized exhibition "TECHNODREV Ural. Volga 2009" took place in the exhibition center "Perm Fair" in June, 16-18th. This project is a part of the all-Russian network of forest industrial exhibitions and is a leading regional project on the European territory of Russia relative to the forest complex. The exhibition was organized by: the exhibition center "Perm Fair" (the city of Perm) and the RESTEC™ Exhibition Company (Saint-Petersburg).

Totally in the project of this year over 50 companies from 21 cities of Russia took part, as well as companies from Germany, Finland and Austria.

The main part exhibits at "TEKHNODREV Ural. Volga 2009" were represented by companies dealing with the woodwork. Besides that, at the exhibition one could see: the modern technical means, equipment and new technologies, services on wood monitoring, high efficiency machines for timber logging, felling and bunching machines, skidding tractors, loading devices, hydraulic manipulators, chains, windlasses, processors for wood chopping.

The exhibition of this year was allocated in one pavilion of the Exhibition center "Perm Fair" and on the open site. The special interest at "TEKHNODREV Ural. Volga 2009" was attracted by the trading site – "Wood Fair". The sellers of articles made of wood, plank timber and products of wood processing were invited to participate in it.

The business program of the fair of this year was dedicated to the issues of wood utilization, standardization and certification in the wood sector of economics, development of bioenergetics and utilization of wood processing wastes.

On June, 16th, in the conference hall of the exhibition center the conference on the subject of "Sustainable development of the WPC in conditions of crisis" took place. The goal of holding this event was the discussion of the most actual problems of the wood processing complex of Ural and Volga region and development of their effective solutions in conditions of crisis. The conference was organized by: The Ministry of Industry, Innovations and Science of Perm region, the Exhibition center "Perm Fair", the RESTEC™ Exhibition Company. In discussion of the development issues of WPC for the coming years the top-managers of the wood-processing complex enterprises of Volga region, as well as the Heads of municipal entities of Perm districts took part.

Within the business program of the exhibition the presentation of the XI St.Petersburg international forestry forum took place that will be held in Saint-Petersburg in October, 6-9, 2009.

Registration of the visitors-specialists took place every day of exhibition work. In three days of work the exhibition was visited by 1500 people. The visitors were mostly specialists of WPC from Perm and Perm district.

Analysis of occupation of the visitors-specialists showed, that over 45% of visitors out of general amount were representatives of the companies dealing with plank timber and wood logging on the market.

The main goals of visiting "TEKHNODREV Ural. Volga 2009", according to registration data, for the most part of visitors were: studying the new production on the market, business talks with partners, studying the market and search for new partners. Visitors and participants were generally satisfied with the exhibition results. According to analysis data, the most visitors interviewed in both groups achieved their goals at the exhibition and expressed their preliminary wish to visit/participate in the exhibition "TEKHNODREV Ural. Volga 2010".
