RESULTS 2008

The Nuclear Exhibition 2008 has been resumed

On September 25 in Hall 8 Lenexpo Fairgrounds, in St. Petersburg has been closed the 8th International Specialized Exhibition Nuclear Industry.

The Event annually held in the eve of the industry professional holiday and devoted to various aspects of возможностей "мирного атома" usage was held in Hall 8, Lenexpo On September 22-25 within the framework of RUSSIAN INDUSTRIALIST Forum.

The Exhibition was organised with the support of State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM, Non-state Educational Establishment Institute of Continuing Professional Education ATOMPROF, St. Petersburg Govermwnt and The Leningrad District Government.

Organizers – RESTEC® Exhibition Company (St. Petersburg), Nuclear Information and Exhibition Center (JSC Atomexpo) (Moscow).

The official opening ceremony held on September 22nd, Evgeny Evstratov, Deputy Director General of the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM made a speech emphasizing the need and importance of the Nuclear Industry Exhibition for development of the nuclear and industry complex of the North-Western Region and whole country.

Among honorary guests have visited the Exhibition there were Mikhail Ovseevskiy, Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg, Igor Konyshev, Dorector of Department for Communication with Public Organizations and Regions of ROSATOM and Alexander Agapov, Head of the Department for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of ROSATOM.

The Exhibition exponents presented Russian advanced technologies in the domain of nuclear power mechanical engineering, design and construction of atomic power stations, engineering and services for putting nuclear reactors out of operation and handling with radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel, sensors, equipment and different control and security systems.

The Exhibition was participated by the industry leading companies. The joint stand of ROSATOM State Corporation featured developments of 12 enterprises which compose the corporation: Specialised Research and Production Association ELERON, All-Russian Research Institute for NPP Operation, All-Russian regional Assiciation IZOTOP, Saint-Petersburg IZOTOP, Atomspetstrans, Mining and Chemical Combine, Industrial Association MAYAK, TVEL Corporation, Ural Electrochemical Combine, OJSC SverdNIIhimmash, Federal State Unitary Enterprise ALL-RUSSIAN RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY (FSUE ARRICT).

OJSC ENERGOATOM Concern, JSC Saint Petersburg Research and Design Institute ATOMENERGOPROEKT (JSC SPAEP), TITAN 2 Holding Company, OJSC Pyatigorsk Plant IMPULS, Spetshimmontazh, Research and Development Compoany NEOHIM, All-Russian Project and Research&Production Institute of Complex Energy Technologies, Energodiagnostika, Siberian Chemical Combine, RADAR - 1, Saturn Gas Turbines, Huntsman-NMG and other enterprises from Moscow, St. Petersburg and other Russian regions have exhibited their products and services.

The event had a wide coverage in the industry and business Mass Media of Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad District.

The Nuclear Industry Exhibition was participated by over 3,000 specialists of the nuclear, energy and related sectors. This fact obviously proves the high professional level of the Event and an intense interest from the industry society.
