"PLASTEC" International exhibition on production, processing and application of plastic and rubber took place in St.Petersburg, at the "Lenexpo" Fairgrounds in Gavan, 4-7 April 2005.

Russian and Byelorussian companies producers of formed rubber-technical items, natural leather technical items, automatic molding machines, low-speed grinders, pressmolds, conveyer systems of different types, modifiers, silicone rubbers dopes. Exhibitors mentioned that the quantity of the contracts signed in the four days of the exhibition justified their expectations and expressed their intention to participate in the exhibition in 2006.

"POLYMERIC FIBERS AND NONWOVENS – INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES AND MATERIALS FOR OIL, GAS END ENERGY SECTORS" scientific seminar was held within the frameworks of the exhibition. It was dedicated to the production, applicative scientific researches, industrial developments and Russian companies work results on the internal and external markets. Over 200 delegates took part in the seminar. Among them: businessmen, top-managers, specialists of the industrial, project, constructor, scientific and research, marketing and trade organizations.

In 2005 for the first time the exhibition and the seminar were held within the frameworks of the reputable International Forum "Russia’s Fuel and Energy Complex: regional aspects". Participants could visit other events, organized within the frameworks of the Forum. Among them: seminars on hydrocarbonic resources reclamation, oil processing and petrochemistry, liquefied natural gas, investment projects, electric and nuclear energy.

An agreement providing participation of the Finnish plastic and industrial rubber goods devices producing companies in the "Plastec 2006" exhibition was signed with the Finnish exhibiting company Lahden Messut during the work of the exhibition. Holding the Russian day within the frameworks of the "MUOIVI PLASTICS" exhibition 15-17 November 2005 in Lahti, was also mentioned in the agreement.
