The annual award ceremony of the "Iron Lumberjack" Prize took place within the frameworks of the X International specialized exhibition "Interles", which was held from the 13.06.2006 to 16.06.2006 at the demonstration grounds of Roschino district (64th km of the "Scandinavia" highway).

The "Iron Lumberjack" Prize is established by the Organizing Committee, represented by the Office of the Russian Federation President's Plenipotentiary in the North-West federal district, Federal Forestry Agency of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation and Restec Exhibition Company. The Prize is a sign of recognition and evaluation of the forest branch leading companies' achievements.

The "Iron Lumberjack" Prizewinners are chosen by the expert jury, which consists of delegate from education, science, projecting organizations of the forest branch, leading forestry enterprises and social institutions.
